BYD spare parts: how to find the right supplier
Looking for a BYD replacement part starts with identifying the vehicle and the exact component. A listing that says “fits BYD” is not enough to establish compatibility. This guide helps owners and workshops prepare a clear enquiry before comparing suppliers.
1. Start with the vehicle, not a photograph
Give the supplier the model name, model year, VIN, country of original sale and steering position. Include the full reference printed on the old component and clear photographs of the label, connectors and mounting points. An illustration can help explain your request, but it is not proof that two parts are interchangeable.
For an ATTO 3, Dolphin, Seal or another BYD model, ask the supplier to confirm the exact vehicle variant in writing. These model names are examples for preparing an enquiry, not a statement that this site holds parts in stock.
2. Compare an authorized-dealer quote with specialist sourcing
BYD’s European service page directs owners to its service network and describes genuine spare parts. Start there when you need an official repair or warranty assessment. Independent sourcing can be another enquiry route, but a supplier directory listing does not establish manufacturer authorization.
Ask what “genuine”, “OEM” or “aftermarket” means in the specific quotation. Request the manufacturer, part number, condition, packaging photographs, invoice and return terms. Have the workshop confirm suitability before you pay.
3. Send one consistent quotation request
A comparable quotation should identify the complete item being supplied. Check whether brackets, fasteners, control modules or other associated pieces are included rather than assuming a complete assembly.
- Vehicle details and original part reference
- Required quantity and destination postal code
- Written fitment confirmation and any superseded part number
- Stock confirmation, dispatch estimate and shipping cost
- Return process if the supplied part does not match the confirmed specification
4. Keep installation separate from sourcing
A matching-looking component is not an installation procedure. Ask a qualified workshop whether coding, calibration or specialist equipment is needed. This site provides buying guidance and independent supplier profiles; it does not certify fitment or provide high-voltage repair instructions.
